Bob's extensive selling, operations, strategic planning, management, marketing and turnaround expertise enables him to significantly increase earnings while achieving a lasting competitive advantage.
As Chief Executive Officer of Portadam, Inc., Bob is leading the company through rapid growth, resulting in a 46% increase in year-over-year sales. As Chief Operating Officer for Tiber Industries, Bob implemented lean manufacturing techniques to decrease quote lead time from 4 to 2 weeks, freed up 26% of the manufacturing floor space and significantly increased operational income. Furthermore, Bob developed and implemented Tiber's Strategic Plan enabling the company to grow from $5M to $20M in sales, over 18 months, through both acquisition and organic growth.
As Director, Strategic Planning for Taconic, Bob developed the organization's first global Strategic Plans and Cultural Audit for each of its three divisions. The implementation of these plans provided the foundation to increase year-over-year global sales by 20.5% and tripled operating Income, while providing a competitive advantage and new organizational structure.
As General Manager for Taconic's Industrial Products European Operation, Bob took a hands-on approach to the day-to-day operations while building high performing cross-functional teams. The result was an increase in gross margin from 22.3% to 32.8% and operating income from -6.5% to 4.8% within 13 months. Additionally, Bob developed the Offer Memoranda, searched, qualified and met with target candidates and played a significant role in the negotiations of a $70 million Definitive Agreement for the merger of its Microwave Laminate Division.
Bob maintains experience in semiconductor packaging, filtration, textile, microwave laminate and industrial markets. He holds one US Patent and earned a BS, Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University, SUNY College of Ceramics and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business and Economics.
