Atlanta Native Scores Corporate Sales Management Position
John Cronley is hired to expand sales in Southeast region.
September 6, 2006 - John Cronley has been appointed Sales Manager of the Atlanta office of Portadam, a nationwide company specializing in portable dams and water retention. With over 20 years experience in the construction field as a contractor, salesperson, and business owner John Cronley has developed an appreciation for the pressures of scheduling and management, as-well-as an complete understanding of the industry. In addition to field work, John has a vast knowledge of solution based sales. After many years of selling software, geotextiles, GPS, Lasers, ETC, John brings his skills and expertise to the growing Portadam team.
After receiving a Bachelor's Degree from Kennesaw State University, John obtained a Masters Degree in Marketing from Georgia State University. While balancing challenging course loads at night, John continued to work in construction during the day. He is quite familiar with the southeast, working with numerous contractors in many states including, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.
Although John Cronley works extremely hard in his work, he also maintains a fulfilling personal life as well. He, his wife, and two daughters reside in Roswell, GA where John will commute only 30 minutes to his new job in the Portadam Atlanta office. The combination of construction and sales experience is a perfect fit for Portadam, who, according to Portadam CEO Bob Gatta, is ecstatic to welcome John aboard. Nelson Brown, Portadam's Southeast Operations Manager will work with Cronley in the Atlanta office, which opened in March 2005. Brown possesses 13 years of operational experience with Portadam, and has been involved in virtually every aspect of the business throughout its growth. According to Gatta: "Nelson began his career with Portadam during its start-up period, which allowed him to play a key role in the development of the business. This experience allows him to satisfy even the most intricate and demanding water diversion or retention projects." Portadam's twenty-five year history of manufacturing, installing and removing its cofferdam system will allow the region to greatly improve construction efficiency for its customers. "The Portadam system is far more efficient than sandbags or sheet piling methods and is very competitively priced," Gatta says.
