Portadam Announces Addition of Southwest Sales Manager

Jim Kirby hired to expand sales in Southwest region.

March 1, 2005 - Portadam of Williamstown, New Jersey announced the addition of Jim Kirby as Southwest Sales Manager. In this newly created position, Mr. Kirby is responsible for rental sales and promotion of Portadam's environmentally friendly portable membrane cofferdam system throughout Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. He will work with Portadam's experienced operations and sales team to capitalize on business opportunities in these regions. Mr. Kirby will report to Bob Gatta, Portadam's Chief Executive Officer. In announcing the Southwest Sales Manager addition, Mr. Gatta stated, Portadam is continuing its aggressive expansion plans through the addition of this Southwest Sales Manager position. As part of the plan, Portadam is committed to hiring professional sales personnel to its team. In addition to Jim's wealth of sales and business experience, he is PADI qualified "Dive Master". This provides Jim with an innate knowledge of working in and around waterways which will provide our customers an added benefit when discussing cofferdam opportunities. Mr. Kirby stated, Portadam's twenty-five year history of successfully renting and installing cofferdam systems will allow us to rapidly expand our current business. The company already maintains a number of loyal customers in this region and we intend to build on this success. Mr. Kirby began his career as a Sales Representative for Monach Business Equipment before joining Pony Express Delivery Services as their Regional Manager. While with Pony Express, Mr. Kirby was responsible for expanding their business in new markets. He then joined Fastenal of Dallas, Texas where he was a Sales Manager responsible for training new sales representatives and selling numerous product lines and services to the manufacturing and construction industries. Recently, Mr. Kirby was an Account Manager with MG Industries with responsibilities to develop new accounts in the Southwest region. Mr. Kirby earned a Bachelors Degree from Texas A&M University with a major in Marketing and minor in Chemistry.
