Portadam Announces Expansion and Opening of Western Region Office

January 18, 2006 - In response to increased sales and regional demand, Portadam, Inc. of Williamstown, NJ will open its fourth regional sales and manufacturing facility in the country this month in Nevada, Portadam Chief Executive Officer Bob Gatta announced today at the World of Concrete 2006 in Las Vegas. "Portadam has been fortunate to have witnessed a significant increase in sales in 2005, with increased new business occurring throughout the Western United States. We are confident that locating a regional office in the Western Region will trigger substantial sales increases for 2006 and beyond," Gatta said. The new facility will support rental sales, installation and removal of Portadam's environmentally friendly temporary membrane cofferdam system throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and western Canada. "Portadam's ability to locate close to its customer base in the West will allow the company to respond quickly to customer requirements, while drastically lowering freight and crew travel costs," Gatta said. "In addition, with personnel dedicated to the region, we will be able to maintain the exceptionally high quality standards Portadam is known for throughout the industry." Kevin Regan has been named as Portadam's West Coast Sales Representative, and an Operations Manager will be appointed. Both will work out of the Nevada office. According to Gatta, Portadam's twenty-five year history of manufacturing, installing and removing its cofferdam system will allow the region to greatly improve construction efficiency for its customers.
